Michel Hudson, CFRE, started her own firms in 2001 (Gnu Gap Consulting and 501(c)onsulting), providing nonprofit guidance and strategies such as strategic planning facilitation, software training, research training and development services audits. She also offers Website development and redesigns, online content creation and site maintenance for a number of international associations and businesses.

With more than 20 years experience in fundraising, Michel has been a frequent speaker at regional and international conferences and workshops for CASE, AHP, AFP, APRA and other public and private associations. She was a member of the APRA International Board of Directors from 1994 through 2001, serving as President the last three years of her term, and received the 2003 APRA Distinguished Service Award.

An author of brochures and materials for nonprofits and businesses, Michel has also written over 100 articles on fundraising topics in professional journals. She is the editor and co-author of Prospect Research Fundamentals, and is included in several Who’s Who editions.
